The FET DI simply plugs between the XLR mic input which goes to the input transformer of
any mic preamp and it only needs a single +24V power rail.
It uses both FETs working as a unity gain impedance converter
in order to be able to drive 200 ohm loads. It has an input impedance of 1MB,
the load on the guitar microphone is therefore the same as a Fender or Marshall amp.
Inserting the jack switches the relay to the DI from the mic input and
sends the active DI into the input transformer.
